Rugby Tournament at Lycée Jules Verne [fr]
The Lycée Jules Verne in Johannesburg hosted an international Sevens Rugby Tournament for under-18s from eight schools between April 7 and April 11 2015.
There were five French schools from different countries apart from Jules Verne JHB participating. Players from Kenya, Benin, Mauritius, Mozambique and Madagascar spent the week battling it out for the top spot. Two South African schools, Hyde Park and St Dominicans, also took part in the tournament.
The final took place on the morning of Saturday April 11 at the Lycée Jules Verne in Johannesburg. The teams from Mauritius and Lycée Jules Verne made it to the final and Mauritius took home the trophy (final score 28-21).

French Ambassador to South Africa Elisabeth Barbier and French Consul in Johannesburg Raymond Quereilhac attended the final with scores of other enthusiastic supporters.
The closing ceremony featured traditional Zulu dances, whereafter the teams watched the Super Rugby match between South African teams the Sharks and the Lions at Ellis Park in Johannesburg. During they stay, the teams visited Soweto, the Lion’s Park in Krugersdorp and Sandton.
