La French Tech is a movement that brings together a generation of creative, forward-looking entrepreneurs who are supported by the French government. It is a collective effort and a shared ambition striving to accelerate the growth of French digital startups, to establish their presence on the international market, and to attract international talent and investors to fructify our field.

La French Tech taps into our dynamic and vibrant ecosystem, encompassing large international companies as well as seed funds, accelerators, academic researchers and research institutions, in order to promote and grow the French digital ecosystem and to position France as the Startup Republic of Europe.

The French State does not govern La French Tech, but it supports it by attracting international talents and adopting pro-business structural reforms. The government leverages a variety of means to enable companies and the market to devise the technologies and ideas of tomorrow. A dedicated “French Tech Cities” label will be awarded to cities with strong digital ecosystems which meet the needs of startups, investors and foreign talent. A 200M€ investment budget to support “startup development acceleration programs” is also being devised. In addition, from 2015 onward, the French Tech Ticket will be made available to foreigners who have innovative entrepreneurial projects with international potential, granting them with tailored support, a single contact providing logistical support, a “Talent passport” and a grant.

These are just a few of the initiatives being implemented. Read more about La French Tech and join the movement online at: http://en.lafrenchtech.com/
